Kerstin Preiwuß, born in 1980 in Lübz, lives in Leipzig. She is a poet, novelist, and essayist. Since the winter semester of 2021, she has held the chair for “Literary Aesthetics” at the German Literature Institute Leipzig. Her most recent publications are “Heute ist mitten in der Nacht” (Berlin Verlag 2023) and “Taupunkt” (Berlin Verlag 2020). She has received, amongst others, the Eichendorff Literature Prize and, most recently, the Anke Bennholdt Thomsen Poetry Prize of the German Schiller Foundation in 2020. Kerstin Preiwuß has been a member of the German Academy for Language and Poetry since 2021.
