Pegah Ahmadi, born in Iran in 1974, lives in Cologne as a poet, translator and literary critic. She is a member of the Iranian Writers’ Association and, with ten published books to date, is among the best-known protagonists of the Iranian poetry scene. In 2009 she came to Frankfurt am Main through ICORN and was subsequently a visiting poet at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island (USA). To date, two volumes of poetry have been published in German translation by Jutta Himmelreich: “Mir war nicht kalt” (Sujet Verlag 2011) and “Wucht” (Sujet Verlag 2018). In 2013 she was nominated for the Hilde Domin Prize for Literature in Exile.
