Mireia Casanyes, born in 1998 in Valls, Catalonia, studied literature and cultural studies between Barcelona and Cologne, with a focus on English and German literature. She is currently researching physicality, nature and memory in Catalan and German literature. She is the author of the poetry collection “L’ombra forana” (Món de Llibres Publishers, 2021), which won the Manacor City Prize. She participated in the Young Poems workshops in 2022 and 2023 and published the magazine “Textura”. She is currently exploring different languages such as artistic jewellery, drawing and storytelling.

Buchengarten Readings

Buchengarten | Free admission

On the festival weekend, Akademie der Künste turns into a poetic hidden-object picture. More than 40 poets and translators will read in the Buchengarten on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Poetry volumes and journals can be purchased at the book market on Sunday.
