Matar, Faris
Faris Matar was born in Mosul in 1969 and has lived in Berlin for 6 years. Faris Matar has published three volumes of poetry and a fourth book on literary criticism. He has presented his poetry at the Literaturhaus Berlin and the Chemnitz Festival of Cultures, among other venues. Faris Matar reads his poems in Arabic and in German and is accompanied on the oud.
