Ruth Johanna Benrath writes poetry for several journals and online magazines, including the Suhrkamp Verlag blog and for Sinn und Form and the FAZ, in addition to prose, plays and radio plays. After the novels “Rosa Gott, wir loben dich” (Steidl 2009) and “Wimpern aus Gras” (Suhrkamp Verlag 2011), she mainly writes radio plays and plays for children’s and youth theatre. In 2022, her radio play “PSALM / Aus der tieffen” (MDR) was nominated for the ARD Radio Play Prize. In 2021 she received the Munich Poetry Prize.
