Dean Ruddock, born in Paderborn, Germany, writes poetry, spoken word and prose, makes sound-art, music and poetry films. Artistically, he is primarily interested in the transfer of texts into other media, but also in the intersection of socio-political issues and artistic perspectives. Special attention is given to post-migrant and post-colonial themes. In 2016, his poetry film “Vögel auf Stromleitungen” (Birds on Power Lines) won the Audience Award of the 2016 ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival.
