Polina Barskova, born in 1976 in Leningrad, is a poet and a literary scholar. She has published eight volumes to date. Her research is devoted to the poets of the Leningrad Blockade. For her first volume of prose “Lebende Bilder” (Suhrkamp Verlag 2020, translation: Olga Radetzkaja), Barskova was awarded the prestigious Andrej-Belyj-Preis. In German translation, the volume “Mutabor” (Edition Lyrik Kabinett 2023) was published with selected poems translated by Daniel Jurjew.
