Lehnert, Christian (c) Frank Höhler

Christian Lehnert, born in 1969 in Dresden, is a poet and theologian, as well as the director of the Liturgy Institute at the University of Leipzig. He made his debut in 1997 with the poetry collection “Der gefesselte Sänger” (Suhrkamp Verlag). His most recent volume, the eighth to date is “opus 8, Im Flechtwerk” (Suhrkamp Verlag 2022), which is going tob e published in English by Archipelago Books, New York. Christian Lehnert was awarded the Hölty Prize and the Eichendorff Literature Prize for his lyrical work.
