Anna Hetzer, born in 1986, grew up in a German-Polish family in Berlin. She studied medicine, philosophy and literature there. She then worked as a doctor in a psychiatric clinic. Her literary writing includes poetry, essays and translations. Her most recent books are Pandoras Playbox, published by Verlagshaus Berlin, and Schaum, published by Sukultur. She is also involved in various artistic collaborations. Her work has received several awards, most recently the Basel Poetry Prize 2023.
